A whole bunch of mumbo jumbo no one really cares about, but you are welcome to read it if you’d like…

Many of the things below are handled by the “computer thingamajiggy” that makes things work, not by me personally. However, in the interest of keeping all things above board, here is the info.

Who am I?

The website address is: https://yourorganizedlife.org. You can learn about me at About page.

What personal data is collected and why?

I am absolutely thrilled when people comment on the blog! I hope that my readers can be kind and encouraging of one another as we all strive to improve our lives through organization! I do, however, reserve the right to delete any comment at any time for any reason.

(This is not something that “I” do, but rather the computer thingamajiggy that makes the site work.) When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you contact us we will reply. If you do not “opt in” to our mailing list, we will not contact you other than to reply to your initiated contact.

More stuff handled by the computer thingamajiggy… If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

I am not responsible for the content from my blog used on other websites without my permission.

Opting in to my mailing list

If you choose to opt in to my mailing list, you will be in my mailing list. If you do not opt in, you will not be in my mailing list. If you opted in and change your mind later, you can simply “unsubscribe” at the click of a button (but I hope you will enjoy my occasional news and will want to stay!).

Your data

Who I share your data with

Thank you for reading my blog! I promise that I will not share your personal information with any third parties.

How long we retain your data

More stuff handled by the computer thingamajiggy…If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where we send your data

More jobs handled by the computer thingamajiggy… Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Regulatory disclosure requirements

I may, now or in the future, partake in affiliate programs. While I would NEVER recommend you purchase something I don’t personally know about and believe in, I may occasionally recommend an item which, if you purchase it, may result in me receiving a small payment from the vendor. Thank you! All products and services mentioned are ones I have tried myself and think would be of benefit to others interested in the topics on my blog–organization, green cleaning, and easy DIY projects.
